Exercise Log 8.23.14 (Developmental Day, No Cardio)

Today was developmental day, and it’s been a while since I did any overhead presses and I’m doing a lot of flat bench pressing again and I know overhead pressing can help with my bench strength, so I wanted to do some. I did a lot of shoulder work today, but noted afterwards I had some neck strain for a week. It wasn’t anything awful, but I gotta be cautious I think how I approach the shoulder work to prevent future strains.

Overhead Press: Set 1) 5 @ 95lbs. Set 2) 4 @ 100lbs. Set 3) 3 @ 105lbs. Set 4) 2 @ 110lbs. Set 5) 1 @ 115lbs. Just was testing how high I could/should go. The final set was rough. My theoretical max on this lift is definitely not much higher than that.

Arnold Press: 3 sets 10 @ 25lbs dumbbell pair.

1-Arm Shoulder Flys: 3 sets 8 reps @ 35lbs.

T-Bar Press / T-Bar Rows: 4 sets 6 reps presses / 8 reps rows @ 95lbs.

Body Rows: 4 sets of 8 reps with elevated feet, felt better with feet elevated.

Did some shoulder stretch and rehab over off the TRX rings before leaving.
