Exercise Log 11.25.13 (Leg Day + Cardio)
Quick log for Monday’s workout. I’m going to keep this short I missed making a good record the day of and I’m a bit foggy on the whole workout. I warmed up then weight straight to squat was eager to try new levels of front squatting. After a set of 5 squats with light weight using straps, then 5 using a clean grip, then 5 on a moderate weight using straps, then 5 with a clean grip, I tried for a new max of 135lbs. I hit it, repped it 3 times and felt like I could do more, so went up to 155lbs and failed. I thought maybe I went too high so instead I settled on 145lbs, and while I repped it I definitely was a little shakey and the rep wasn’t the best, but I did it and I felt good about it. So did two drop sets.
I wanted to reinforce the behavior so I did 4 sets of goblet squats working my way up to a 90lb dumbbell. It was pretty brutal all considered. Other exercises I did to wrap up leg day: vertical leg press superset with calf raises (3 sets incremented weight), stiff legged deadlifts (80lbs, 3 sets), hip extensions (15 sets of 3 reps each leg, high weight), dread march (40lb dumbbells, walking lunges I counted this is about 20 reps to each side of the gym, and 20 back, 3 sets).
It may not sound like much of a workout but I’m laying down this log on Tuesday night and still feel the work from all the squatting. It’s kind of awesome all considered.
Cardio was very simple tonight just a M100 and 1 mile walking pace. Tried to do M200 instead of M100 but sorta crapped out. M100’s are a good exercise to do on leg day in my opinion because it’s short cardio and it really tests how well you worked out the legs, I’ll try to keep it my primary cardio on leg day I think.

Socialism WORKS!
Socialism WORKS! is a short website presentation I put together years ago with help from a friend. It is something of a snarky take on Socialism, critical of the advantages of Socialism from various origins of the idea.
