Exercise Log 3.24.14 (Leg Day, No Cardio – Deload Cycle)

By phoebusapollo on Mon Mar 24 2014

Okay this is the start of my deload cycle. I’m backlogged (again) in workout logs but I feel I should leave a few comments on the deload. The first day of my A deload cycle (for those of you who don’t know) is a period in a workout plan where you deliberately do a lighter […]

Exercise Log 3.22.14 (Back Day + Fight for Air Climb ’14)

By phoebusapollo on Sat Mar 22 2014

Started out today with a fun trip up One Oxford Center at a fundraising stair climb for the American Lung Association. I definitely used my lungs (and legs) to get me up 897 steps in 9:47, which I think is pretty good for a first timer. I however could’ve done better if I had listened […]

Exercise Log 3.21.14 (Bouldering! + Cardio)

By phoebusapollo on Fri Mar 21 2014

Today I had a fantastic run through Frick Park, one of the first days in a while it was nice enough to run outside. It was a horrible pace but I knocked out 3.45 miles. Then after that, did some bouldering! Not really a documentable workout but still great fun. Within several climbs my forearms […]

Exercise Log 3.20.14 (Dev Day, No Cardio)

By phoebusapollo on Thu Mar 20 2014

Okay today was developmental day and I felt like it was time to push squat development, ride on my breakthrough of my squat plateau. I felt like good exercises would be the regular back squat (while researching squat form I got a ton of nice protips on back squat cues) and then some goblet squats. […]

Exercise Log 3.18.14 (Arm Day + Cardio)

By phoebusapollo on Tue Mar 18 2014

Catching up on posting my workout logs. Today was arm day, so this log will be short and sweet for personal records. For anyone curious while I did not follow the workout to the “T”, I did try Scott Herman’s “Tricked out Triceps” workout and it worked real good. My triceps felt like cotton candy […]

Exercise Log 3.17.14 (Leg Day + Cardio)

By phoebusapollo on Mon Mar 17 2014

I’m very backlogged on workout writeups, but had a fun and productive week. This week was a St. Patty’s day leg workout. Unlike most, I wasn’t just working to burn off calories to justify beer binging, this is one holiday I felt good staying out of. Rocking the luck of the Hyrulians in the gym […]

Exercise Log 3.16.14 (Chest Day, No Cardio)

By phoebusapollo on Sun Mar 16 2014

Quick short log of my chest day. Kept it short, still nursing a sore shoulder but felt good about that because of the chronic issue I’ve had with feeling that I perhaps am going too long in my workout plan in general. Short workout means short log though. Flat Bench Press: Set 1) 5 reps […]

Exercise Log 3.14.14 (Back Day, No Cardio)

By phoebusapollo on Fri Mar 14 2014

Alright a quick log of my back day. Was very groggy and tired to start this workout but the deadlifts woke me up. Deadlifts: Set 1) 5 reps @ 235lbs (plus one penalty rep for bouncing the weight too fast). Set 2) 5 reps @ 255lbs. Set 3) 2 reps @ 275lbs, 1 rep @ […]

Exercise Log 3.13.14 (Dev Day, No Cardio)

By phoebusapollo on Thu Mar 13 2014

Okay priorities for developmental day were making up arm work for bouldering and developing my squat, while trying not to aggrevate the shoulder. I wanted to have some light shoulder work to act as rehab work, which will be followed up by stretches, icing and rest after. First, squat development. For warmups I did 2 […]

Exercise Log 3.12.14 (Bouldering!)

By phoebusapollo on Wed Mar 12 2014

Went bouldering tonight, this counts as arm day in my routine so I’m good. Keeping the log short because I could log info about how long I was bouldering but it’s more a social activity than anything. I usually pass some arm work to dev day after bouldering.

Socialism WORKS!

Socialism WORKS! is a short website presentation I put together years ago with help from a friend. It is something of a snarky take on Socialism, critical of the advantages of Socialism from various origins of the idea.
