Exercise Log 1.17.15 (Deadlift & Squat Day)

Deadlift & Squat day, cycle 3. Had a few recalculations to do since this was my first workout in my second block and I wasn’t happy with the initial figures.

Deficit Deadlifts: 1) 9 @ 195lbs. 2) 9 @ 195lbs. 3) 9 @ 230lbs. Climbing doubles: 2 @ 270lbs, 2 @ 285lbs, 2 @ 305lbs, 1 @ 325lbs. My last three reps (the doubles at 305 and the single at 325) were without any mat, which slightly elevates the weight (thus cheating me a little, but making the gym authority happy). I usually do the bulk of my volume with the pads then the final few sets I’m just careful not to clang bang. Although frankly, I don’t think there is anything really *wrong* with a little clang banging the weights.

Squats: I wasn’t sure if I had intended to write this leg of the program with pause squats for the secondary lift, or normal squats. Felt more right to do normal squats. 1) 6 @ 180lbs. 2) 6 @ 180lbs. 3) AMRAP set of 8 @ 180lbs.

Face Pulls: 4 sets of 10 reps @ 100lbs.

Seated Rows: 4 sets of 8 reps @ 150lbs.

Lateral Pulldowns: 3 sets of 6 reps @ 130lbs. Felt pretty fatigued by here, calling it a day.
